Traditional 24rd Baikal Summer School on Physics of Elementary Particles and Astrophysics
Traditional 24rd Baikal Summer School on Physics of Elementary Particles and Astrophysics will take place from July 10th to 17th, 2024, in a scenic village Bolshie Koty at the shore of Lake Baikal in Russia. We invite students and PhD's specializing in high energy physics and astroparticle physics as well as young scientists to participate in the school.
The Baikal Summer School is organized by Irkutsk State University and Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna). The school is international, and its working language is English. The scientific program includes introductory courses on various topics in the Standard Model, neutrino physics, astroparticle physics and multi-messenger astronomy, with a fair balance between theoretical and experimental lectures.
Every year, the school attracts about 80 students ranging from undergraduates to early postdocs, including many foreigners. Apart from lectures, the school program includes intensive discussion sessions, opportunities to present your own work, and plenty of time for establishing contact with lecturers and other students.
A competitive selection of participants is based on applicants' scientific interests and recommendation letters from their supervisors or colleagues.
Participation fee covers accommodations and meals in Bolshie Koty as well as transportation from Irkutsk to Bolshie Koty and back.
