Traditional 22nd Baikal Summer School on Physics of Elementary Particles and Astrophysics
Traditional 22nd Baikal Summer School on Physics of Elementary Particles and Astrophysics will take place from July 12th to 19th, 2022, in a picturesque village Bolshie Koty at the shore of Lake Baikal, Russia. We invite students and PhD students specializing in high energy physics and astroparticle physics as well as early-career postdocs to participate in the school. This school series is organized jointly by Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna) and Irkutsk State University. The school is international, its working language is English. The scientific program includes introductory courses on various topics in the Standard Model, neutrino physics, astroparticle physics and multi-messenger astronomy, with a fair balance between theoretical and experimental lectures. Every year, the school attracts about 50 students ranging from brave undergrads to early postdocs, including many foreigners. Apart from lectures, the school program includes intensive discussion sessions, opportunities to present your own work, and plenty of time for informal contacts with lecturers and other students. The registration is planned from February 1st to April 30th. Due to limited facilities on-site, we can accept up to 50 applications. A competitive selection will be made based on applicants' scientific interests and recommendation letters from their supervisors or colleagues.
Participation fee covers accommodation and food in Bolshie Koty and transportation from Irkutsk to Bolshie Koty and again.
